My Story
Therapy rooted in meaning, identity, and healing
I am a licensed clinical social worker based in Texas, offering compassionate, thoughtful therapy for individuals and families navigating life’s most complex moments. My work centers on meaning-making, identity, and authentic connection, especially during periods of loss, illness, transition, or personal change. I strive to create a space where your story can unfold honestly — one that honors both the pain you carry and the strengths you may not yet see.
My approach is collaborative, reflective, and grounded in compassion. I value creativity, honesty, and deep listening, allowing us to explore not only what is happening in your life, but what it means to you.
Together, we may explore:
-
Personal values and identity
-
Grief, loss, and life transitions
-
How illness, injury, or trauma impact your sense of self
-
Ways to reconnect with meaning, purpose, and inner strength
I am conversational in Spanish and strive to meet each client with cultural humility and respect.
My background
I began my academic journey at Tulane University, where I studied business and competed as a collegiate swimmer. My experience as a college athlete deeply informs my clinical work, particularly in understanding the emotional and identity-based challenges that can arise from injury, performance pressure, disordered eating, transitions out of sport, and redefining purpose beyond athletics.
I later earned my Master of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin’s Steve Hicks School of Social Work, with a concentration in clinical practice and healthcare.
For the past few years, I have worked in a cancer hospital, supporting patients and families through medical trauma, chronic illness, grief, and life-and-death situations. These experiences have shaped my approach to therapy — one that holds space for uncertainty, resilience, spirituality, and meaning.
