My Story

I listen, I care, I'm here to help

Life can be challenging. As a wife, mother, and someone who has spent over 30 years working and volunteering with adolescents, individuals, couples, and families, I understand how difficult, stressful, and messy life can be. I also know the importance of reaching out for supportive, effective counseling. If you’re struggling - whether personally, in relationships, with family or friends, or due to life transitions or traumatic events - don’t hesitate to take the next step. Reach out today to share what you’re going through and explore how counseling can help.

My approach to counseling

My counseling approach is centered entirely on you, grounded in empathy and genuine compassion. I create a supportive, non-judgmental environment where evidence-based techniques are tailored to meet your unique needs. I deeply believe in your capacity for wellness, and as your counselor, my goal is to work collaboratively with you to foster healing and personal growth as you pursue your goals.

As a Nationally Certified Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I am dedicated to helping clients navigate life’s challenges while supporting them in achieving both personal and relationship goals. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Imago Relationship Therapy, and the Gottman Method for couples. Additionally, I have experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Mindfulness practices, Narrative Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) work.

My aim is to create a safe, supportive space where individuals can experience growth, healing, and empowerment at their own pace.

If you're feeling stuck or overwhelmed by life’s obstacles, I am here to help you navigate them and empower you to move forward. Together, we can find the best path. Reach out today by calling 346.567.7691 for a free 15-minute consultation - I look forward to supporting you on your journey.

On a Personal Note

I have been happily married for over 25 years and am the proud mother of three young adult children, including twin boys. Our family has lived in Venezuela, the United Arab Emirates, California, Houston, and now Sugar Land which we call home. Alongside my work in counseling, I lead mom’s groups and have spoken about mental health issues for community organizations, including the United Way. In my free time, I enjoy volunteering, teaching, learning, playing with my grand-dogs, and finding creative ways to stay active and connected with my family, friends, and church community.
