My Story

I'm Sara, a wife, mother of three, proud Katy resident, advocate for the special needs community, and founder of Mental Health Counseling Group.

I am a trauma-focused (EMDR-trained) therapist, marriage/couples and family counselor who believes helping one family member is an excellent start to developing a confident sense of self; however, working with a whole family group is where transformation takes shape. I help couples navigate the complexities of marriage and relationships, and I work with entire family units, serving ages 5 and up. I also help individual adults, as most mental health concerns and worries tie into the family unit (past and present), and the skills I apply in family and marriage counseling translate into individual sessions as well.

I'm proud of all that Mental Health Counseling of Katy has to offer and am passionate about helping people navigate challenges in their relationships and life journeys through counseling. I'm grateful to firmly plant roots in Katy by launching Mental Health Counseling of Katy.
